1 min read

PASIR MAS – Battalion 8 of the General Operations Force (PGA) thwarted a man’s attempt to smuggle illegal immigrants (PATI) using a Proton Exora during “Op Taring Wawasan” in Kampung Senor on Saturday. The 2 p.m. raid led to the arrest of seven Myanmar nationals, including three men and four women, all without valid identification. However, the suspect transporting them managed to escape and remains at large. Authorities believe the immigrants entered Malaysia through Thailand via an illegal route. The case is being investigated under the Immigration Act, and the detainees have been handed over to Jeram Perdah Police Station.
