SHAH ALAM, May 17 — A commotion erupted after the PKR Kuala Selangor branch AGM on Saturday following disputes over a no-confidence motion against branch chief M Sivabalan. The chaos reportedly lasted about 20 minutes after several individuals demanded the motion be debated and voted on.

Sivabalan said the motion had been accepted but must be referred to the party’s central leadership as it was beyond branch jurisdiction. He added that the issue also involved appointments of village heads. Three female members were reportedly injured during the scuffle involving chair throwing. Police reports have been lodged over the incident and alleged death threats linked to party tensions.
