Pasir Gudang Member of Parliament Hassan Abdul Karim has called for the resignation of Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir and Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek over the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC). He accused both ministers of failing to oppose the Cabinet’s decision on UEC recognition, saying their inaction betrayed the national education policy.

Hassan stressed that the ministers, from UMNO and PKR, should have defended admission standards to public universities. He declared their failure “cannot be forgiven” and demanded they step down immediately, likening the issue to a breach of trust in national education governance.
