FEDERAL Territories (FT) PKR Youth Chief Asheeq Ali Sethi Alivi has quit PKR with immediate effect, citing the party’s drift from its original ideals.
He said there is a new pragmatist approach that is increasingly thickening in PKR.
He joined after the Sheraton Move in 2020 but now feels trapped between activism‑driven idealism and PKR’s growing pragmatism.

At first I still tried to adapt myself to the party’s direction, but eventually I was squeezed between the idealism of the struggle and the new pragmatism approach that is increasingly thickening in PKR.
“Many decisions made by the government today deviate from the foundation of the struggle that I have believed in since my activism days until now,” he said in a posting on Facebook today.
