Police have reopened an investigation into an assault on a security guard at a swimming pool of a condominium in Ipoh after the latter passed away eight months after the assault. The victim died on Saturday.

A post-mortem showed the cause to be a lung infection but the family disputed the post-mortem finding, saying his death was a result of the assault in December.

Perak police chief Mior Faridalathrash Wahid says the incident happened on Dec 29, FMT reported.

A suspect, seen attacking the guard on video, was remanded after investigations found that the suspect was upset with the guard for not allowing the suspect’s son to use the swimming pool which was not open to the public at that time. Read More.
