Three local men were found dead after being electrocuted while attempting to steal Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) cables near Taman Rapat Perdana, Ipoh. District police chief ACP Muhammad Najib Hamzah said the incident occurred around 10am on Monday, following a tip-off from the public. Investigations revealed the men, aged 35 to 50, were electrocuted while cutting live cables. Their bodies were sent to Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun for autopsy.
Cable Theft
The case is being investigated under Section 379/511 of the Penal Code for attempted theft and classified as sudden death. Police urged the public to avoid dangerous criminal activities.
