KUALA LUMPUR: The investigation into Perikatan Nasional chairman Muhyiddin Yassin’s election campaign speech, which reportedly addressed sensitive 3R (race, religion, royalty) issues, has progressed to the Attorney-General’s Chambers. The police have completed recording statements from 66 individuals, including Muhyiddin, and submitted the investigation papers for further legal review.

Muhyiddin cooperated fully, providing documents and his statement at the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA). The controversy stemmed from his speech questioning the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s role and duties, prompting police reports and criticism from Pahang Crown Prince Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah.
