A public address by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki at the Wacana Ilmiah Perdana was briefly disrupted by three youths staging a protest. One stood holding a placard, while another shouted “Tangkap Azam Baki,” drawing attention from the audience. Organisers and auxiliary police swiftly intervened, escorting the individuals out of the hall, while a third youth was later asked to leave after arguing with organisers. The situation was quickly brought under control, allowing the event to proceed.
Protest
“Tan Sri Azam remained calm, unprovoked and continued his speech until completion with full authority, which was later met with thunderous applause from the audience,” said Malaysia Corruption Watch president Jais Abdul Karim, who praised Azam’s composure and resilience.
