Tan Sri Rais Yatim, former President of the Dewan Negara, has urged authorities to investigate an NGO allegedly promoting the reunification of China and Taiwan, while questioning whether it is spreading communist ideology in Malaysia. He filed a police report at Dang Wangi station after receiving a 2-minute 57-second video about the unregistered Association for the Peaceful Promotion of One China in Malaysia, believed to threaten national security. Rais claimed communism is slowly infiltrating the country, citing incidents such as students in Penang singing a foreign patriotic song linked to communism and the raising of the Chinese flag in Malaysia, which have raised public concern.
