The US DOJ lists his plea as “pardon after completion of sentence.” While Anwar dismissed the matter, minister Johari Ghani urged rejection and Low’s return for trial. The 1MDB saga saw over US$4.5 billion siphoned, Najib Razak jailed, and lavish spending on yachts, art, and films like The Wolf of Wall Street.
