Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) denied claims that a cyberattack disrupted KLIA operations on March 23, stating flights and passenger services remained unaffected. Corporate communications general manager Shukreen Ma emphasized smooth operations despite a New Straits Times report alleging system failures lasting over 10 hours.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim confirmed hackers demanded a US$10 million ransom, which the government refused. The National Cyber Security Agency (Nacsa) assured ongoing monitoring of affected systems.
Aviation sources reported intermittent disruptions to flight information boards, but Nacsa chief Megat Zuhairy Megat Tajuddin reiterated that KLIA’s operations were not significantly impacted by the breach.
