During the Raya break, Malaysians flocked to reunite with family, but traffic summonses surged by 292%. Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain noted a slight dip in road accidents but emphasized motorcyclists’ vulnerability.

Traffic summonses skyrocket to 292%

He commended traffic officers for their efforts and drivers for their patience. “Fatalities stood at 119, a decrease of seven cases or 6% compared to 126 cases in the previous year,” he stated.
