Road Collapse in Jeli Leaves 200 Residents Stranded Now

A 20-meter section of road in Kampung Seberang Janggut, Jeli, collapsed due to heavy rain and rising water levels from Sungai Rual, leaving over 200 residents stranded. The incident occurred at 9 am, eroded by the swollen river, rendering 45 families in Kampung Seberang Janggut isolated.

Jeli Fire and Rescue Station Chief, Mohd Adni Ibrahim, reported the road collapse hampers villagers’ daily activities and essential travel to Jeli. Collaborative efforts with authorities are underway to assess and address the situation, urging residents to remain patient during the road repair process for their vital means of transportation.
