Penang Police Chief Datuk Hamzah Ahmad confirmed that the suspects, two Malaysians and two Indonesians, are connected to an international smuggling syndicate operating between Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia. Authorities are expanding investigations to dismantle the network. The four suspects, aged 22 to 57, remain in custody as police track additional members of the syndicate. Further details remain confidential as investigations continue.
