UMNO Secretary-General Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki emphasized that Barisan Nasional’s (BN) victory in the Mahkota state by-election should not lead UMNO to become arrogant or complacent. He urged UMNO to approach the mandate given by the people with humility and responsibility. Wajdi highlighted that the win reflects public support for the Unity Government’s model of cooperation based on moderation, tolerance, and rejecting extremism. UMNO has committed to strengthening collaboration with other Unity Government parties to ensure political stability, public welfare, and national prosperity. Party members were also urged to remain ready to assist the public, regardless of political ideology.
