Biotoxin levels in Port Dickson’s seawater have dropped below 800 parts per billion, according to tests by the Kuala Lumpur Fisheries Biosecurity Centre.

However, Negeri Sembilan Fisheries Department director Kasim Tawe confirmed the ongoing ban on harvesting and consuming shellfish, citing the need for further weekly sampling to ensure safety.
The affected area spans from Sungai Sekawang to Tanjung Teluk, Pasir Panjang, where operators have been instructed to halt mussel and shellfish collection. Kasim urged the public to avoid shellfish from these waters until investigations are complete, warning of potential food poisoning risks if consumed prematurely.
