Umno’s Asyraf Wajdi is asking whether Pakatan Harapan will now look at the MUDA leader, Syed Sadiqq as a member of the ‘court cluster’ the same way the opposition coalition treats the Umno leaders facing court cases?
A good question indeed because if we want equality and merit, PH should logically ask the question themselves and take action on whether they will allow Syed Sadiqq to be a candidate in the upcoming elections on Nov 19.
However, since Umno and BN are all ignoring the fact that their ‘candidates’ who are currently facing court cases will contest on Nov 19, then why should PH disallow the MUDA boss to contest?
All parties should agree on a concerted effort to decide whether to bar those facing court cases from contesting in the elections or not. Syed Sadiqq has been ordered by the High Court to enter his defence on four corruption charges.
