A 17-year-old in Singapore radicalised by ISIS now in ISA

1 min read

A 17-year-old boy was arrested in August 2024 under the Internal Security Act (ISA) for investigation and given a two-year Order of Detention in September after he was radicalised by ISIS and planned to carry out terror attacks in the city-state. The authorities say the student planned an attack in the open space between Blocks 826 and 828 of Tampines Street 81. He was planning to travel to Syria to fight with Isis but faced difficulties in getting there, so he decided to conduct the attack in Singapore. He made extensive plans. Love your country, love yourself and do not follow terror groups.
