Singaporean Man Now Fined RM17,000 After Faking Royal Status at K-Pop Event

A Singaporean man was fined S$5,000 (RM17,263) for pretending his daughter was a Selangor princess and himself as her bodyguard to get special treatment at a K-Pop concert at the Singapore National Stadium in January.

According to CNA, the man’s daughter had tickets for both days of the concert, bought by her father. Not wanting her to queue or attend alone, he devised a plan. He contacted the organiser, claiming his daughter was royalty and he was her bodyguard.

Given special access, they enjoyed the first day. However, the organiser discovered the truth and notified the police on the second day. The man admitted his actions in court, emphasizing his concern for his daughter’s safety, and received the fine.
