1 min read

A New Jersey federal judge has ordered Starbucks to pay an additional $2.7 million in damages to a former employee, Shannon Phillips. The employee had won a $25.6 million settlement in a wrongful termination case before against Starbucks. Phillips, a former regional director, alleged she was fired due to being white following a 2018 racial incident involving the arrest of two Black men at one of their stores.
