Melaka has announced the immediate withdrawal of the Darjah Pangkuan Seri Melaka (DPSM) title, which carries the ‘Datuk’ honorific, awarded to CEO of Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings (GISBH), Nasiruddin Mohd Ali, on August 25th.

The decision was made by the Yang Dipertua Negeri Melaka, Mohd Ali Rustam, following advice from Chief Minister Ab Rauf Yusoh. Consequently, Nasiruddin’s name has been removed from the 2024 Honours List. He must return the award to the State Secretary’s Office. This action follows a fatwa declaring GISBH’s teachings as deviant.
