Seputeh MP Teresa Kok congratulated Sungai Besar Umno chief Jamal Yunos on Facebook after he announced being cancer-free following intensive treatment. However, Kok reminded Jamal to pay her lawyer RM50,000 in legal costs as ordered by the court. Last October, Kok won a court order to seize and sell Jamal’s house contents after he failed to pay the sum, stemming from a RM300,000 defamation lawsuit she won last year. The seven-year legal battle began in 2017 when Jamal accused Kok of misappropriating funds from the Yayasan Warisan Anak Selangor. Earlier this year, Jamal’s cancer had spread to his brain.
