Thai YouTuber Natthamon Khongchak, known as “Nutty,” was arrested in Indonesia after two years on the run from fraud charges totaling US$59 million. Her cover was blown when she failed to sing Indonesia’s national anthem while trying to pose as a local. Alongside her mother, Thaniya, Nutty was extradited to Thailand, where they face investigations for scamming over 6,000 victims out of 2 billion baht (approximately US$59 million) through a fraudulent forex investment scheme. The duo, who had fled to evade multiple warrants, had previously gained fame for their K-pop content on social media before their downfall.
