Trump Warns Iran May ‘No Longer Exist’ After Strait of Hormuz Strikes

Following Iranian strikes in the Strait of Hormuz, U.S. President Donald Trump issued a statement on Truth Social that many interpret as a nuclear threat. He warned that Iran may “no longer exist” if hostilities continue, echoing earlier extreme rhetoric about destroying “an entire civilization.” 

Trump’s Vague Threats Spark Nuclear Speculation

The remarks came hours after U.S. forces struck Iranian missile and drone storage sites in response to Tehran’s attacks on commercial vessels. 

Analysts note Trump’s language is deliberately vague, leaving open interpretations from regime change to weapons of mass destruction. Iran canceled scheduled negotiations, citing violations of the ceasefire memorandum and lack of access to unfrozen funds.
