Following the Covid-19 vaccination programme, serious cases of Adverse Effects of Immunisation (AEFI) have been reported among inmates at the Kajang Prison raising concerns of the effects on prisoners.
A letter from Kajang Prison says there have been 18 serious adverse events, including two deaths, among inmates who received Covid-19 vaccines from Pfizer, Sinovac, and Cansino.
Dr Roshayati Mohamad Sani, the Director of the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Division (NPRA), shared that the Hulu Langat District Health Office and the Selangor State Health Department are now investigating the matter to obtain complete information.
