While companies like Uber and Taskrabbit claim higher earnings, Gridwise analyzed over 1 billion tasks to compile its estimates. The report also found that ride-hailing fares rose faster than driver pay, with Uber and Lyft increasing prices by 9.6% while driver earnings grew just 4.1%. Rising costs like fuel continue to pressure gig workers’ bottom lines.
