A move by 14 Umno assemblymen to withdraw support from the Pakatan Harapan-led government in Negeri Sembilan has unsettled Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s Madani coalition. The unity government, comprising Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional, now faces pressure as Umno aligns with five Perikatan Nasional assemblymen, while Pakatan holds 17 seats in the 36-seat assembly.

Despite the withdrawal, Negeri Sembilan’s Ruler Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir affirmed that Chief Minister Aminuddin Harun remains in office. Anwar also ruled out snap polls.
