A professor who speaks his mind and who is respected, which is very rare in today’s Malaysia urges Umno to stop begging Malays. Prof Dr Mohd Tajudin has a theory. Here it goes:
Loss of Malay Support?
He says when Mahathir lost the confidence of the Malays in the imprisonment of Anwar Ibrahim, he did not beg the Malays to come back to Umno. Instead, he dangled a juicy bait to the non-Malays, saying science and Math should be taught in English.
STOP BEGGING LAH
“The whining and screaming of Pemuda Umno disgust me greatly, and I am sure Mahathir is having a good laugh at the likes of Pemuda Umno begging Malays to come back,” he writes on Sin Chew. He reminded Umno that non-Malays helped BN win in 1999. So, this is what Umno should do now. Win back the non-Malays. Work with DAP, bukan suruh dia minta maaf!
