Viral Post Calls Out Family Allegedly Cutting Queue at Oriental Kopi

Viral Post Calls Out Family Allegedly Cutting Queue at Oriental Kopi

A social media post has sparked debate after a customer claimed a family allegedly skipped a long queue at an Oriental Kopi outlet. Threads user @naadirajamaluddin said she was waiting in line when a staff member appeared to let another man enter directly, followed by a woman and several family members.

According to her post, the group proceeded to enter the restaurant without appearing to wait in the same queue as other customers.

Queue-Cutting Allegation Triggers Debate Over VIP Treatment

The post quickly drew attention, with commenters questioning whether certain customers were being given preferential treatment. One commenter urged Oriental Kopi not to normalise VIP queue-cutting, arguing that ordinary customers should not have to wait while others are allowed to bypass the line.

Another user said even people with prestigious positions should respect the queue, adding that titles should not be treated as a reason to receive special privileges.

The original poster later clarified that she was not blaming Oriental Kopi as a whole, but disagreed with what she described as a culture of special treatment.

She said having a certain status should not mean receiving privileges that inconvenience other customers. The discussion has since expanded into a wider debate about queue etiquette, fairness and whether businesses should maintain the same system for everyone.
