UPNM Under Scrutiny for Bullying Cases, New Measures Implemented

The National Defence University (UPNM) faces controversy over several bullying and abuse cases among cadets, with two incidents reported weeks apart. Defence Minister Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin is implementing measures to prevent future occurrences. 

UPNM Under Scrutiny for Bullying Cases, New Measures Implemented

Since January, Year 1 students have been segregated from seniors in shared rooms. Now, further segregation will occur by dormitory floors and roll call, and more CCTV cameras will be installed in dormitories. 

The government is also raising awareness about bullying, emphasizing severe punishment for offenders to deter such behavior among cadets.
