Veronica Wolski, a Chicago activist who fought for the controversial medication ivermectin, died in the intensive care unit of AMITA Health Resurrection Medical Center early Monday and was denied the cure.
The 64-year old Wolski’s social media followers said she was being treated for COVID-19 but hospital staff did not register her death as ‘COVID’.
For more than a week, her supporters demanded that Wolski be given ivermectin, the medication typically used to treat diseases caused by parasitic worms, but she was denied the cure.
