Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong of Singapore announced his intention to hand over leadership to Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong before the next GE, which is due to take place no later than Nov. 23, 2025. He expressed full confidence in Wong and cited the importance of leadership renewal for the People’s Action Party (PAP) and Singapore.
