SUBANG JAYA, Selangor: A massive fire broke out at a Petronas gas pipeline in Putra Heights, Puchong, on Tuesday morning, April 1, 2025, injuring 145 people, including three children. Health Minister Dzulkefly Ahmad reported 67 victims remain under medical care, with 28 at Sultan Idris Shah Hospital, 22 at Cyberjaya Hospital, 13 in Putrajaya, and two at Ampang Hospital, mostly for second-degree burns. All are stable, with 41 discharged and 37 treated privately. The blaze, spanning 500 meters of pipeline, prompted valve closure by Petronas. Residents felt tremors around 8am, signaling the pipeline’s rupture, authorities said, according to Channel News Asia.
