The brand called it a “Crochet Leather Overshirt” inspired by chore coats, featuring a four-pocket chest, button closure, wide collar, supple black calf leather, and vibrant hand-crocheted patches.
According to Hypebeast, It also has a crocheted collar with a large flower attached to the left side. The design salutes Virgil Abloh’s legacy and is made to order, not available in stores, and costs $37,000 USD (RM163,799 as of March 27th 2023). Netizens are shocked at the price of this jacket. Some are even saying that if it’s not sold, the luxury brand can’t blame the crochet or the design as it is most definitely the price. It cannot be denied that the jacket is an acquired taste, but at this price it may gain in value in the future due to its limited quantity.
Regardless, there are a number of negative comments regarding this jacket. There are some LV fans that are showing genuine interest towards the leather jacket, joking that they might need to take out a loan for it.
However, their crochet duffle bag received a lot of positive praise from netizens. It appears that people are not happy with the prices that these brands are putting out there. If the price was not mentioned, the jacket too would’ve been praised for its unique design.
