Balloon vendor Muhammad Za’imuddin Azlan, injured in a March 28 clash with Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) enforcement officers over unlicensed sales on Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, is pursuing legal action. His lawyer, Rafique Rashid Ali, sent a letter to DBKL demanding the names of the involved officers. A medical report from Sultan Idris Shah Hospital confirms Za’imuddin’s injuries, including a risk of paralysis, refuting claims he faked them. The 28-year-old, still using assistive devices, also plans to sue social media users for defamation. DBKL claims Za’imuddin was aggressive, a claim he denies.
