Agong Visits Singapore, Has Lunch With PM Lee

The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Abdullah Ahmad Shah, is in Singapore on a state visit from October 25 to 27 and according to the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs, PM Lee Hsien Loong met with the Agong and hosted a lunch for him and his wife Queen Azizah on Oct. 26.

According to the Malaysian Royal Palace’s Facebook page, the Agong also met with Ministers of Education Chan Chun Sing, Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, National Development Minister Desmond Lee, and Transport Minister S Iswaran.

In addition, the King will attend an orchid naming ceremony, where a new orchid, the Dendrobium Queen Azizah, will be named in his and the queen’s honour.
