UMNO Youth Chief and Merlimau assemblyman Datuk Dr Akmal Saleh criticised a political party for attacking the RXZ Members Ride Edition Melaka 3.0 event while allegedly staying silent on drunk driving issues.

The two‑day gathering drew thousands of motorcyclists and faced complaints from DAP Melaka and Kota Melaka MP Khoo Poay Tiong, who cited late‑night noise, high‑speed riding, and negative impact on public order and tourism.
Dr Akmal acknowledged some participants broke traffic rules but argued it was unfair to judge the entire event. He highlighted economic benefits and urged critics to be consistent when addressing public safety concerns.
