Netizens ANGRY at Lack of Enforcement Towards Scammers

The surge of scams in Malaysia has left countless individuals and families devastated. Reports now surface almost daily of victims losing more than RM100,000 to fraud. Many netizens are urging the government to introduce stricter regulations and harsher penalties to curb these crimes.

Lack of Enforcements Towards Scammers

An X user joked saying that at this point, being a scammer would be a better career option as it appears that many are getting away from it. Another user chimed in saying that the law is complicated when it comes to this as some of the victims would be consensually transferring their cash to these organised individuals. 

Others state the law needs to change in order to solve this never ending problem. Additionally, having better financial literacy can also help one avoid scams as most of these scams would promise a “get rich quick scheme” which is almost, and always fake.
