The Malaysian government has reached an agreement with UK-based Ocean Infinity to resume the search for the missing MH370 aircraft. Transport Minister Anthony Loke confirmed the deal was finalized last week.

However, unfavorable weather conditions have delayed operations, which are expected to continue by the end of the year. The no find, no fee agreement ensures Malaysia will pay Ocean Infinity $70 million only if the wreckage is found.
The search, paused since 2018, previously covered 112,000 square kilometers in the Indian Ocean. MH370 disappeared on March 8, 2014, en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with 239 people onboard.
