Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has cancelled a ministry and agency trip to an exhibition in Paris involving 68 officials, despite flight tickets and hotel reservations already being made. He emphasized that this decision sends a clear message that the Madani Government will not compromise on any actions that waste public funds. Anwar also highlighted the need for reforms within public institutions, stating that all overseas trips and new projects must receive approval from the ministry’s Chief Secretary or Director-General before being authorized by the minister, ensuring necessity and the effective use of government funds.
