According to Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim, a drawing of him was made recently by Datuk Lat, who is famous for his animated series, Mat the Kampung Boy. The image showed an apparent office of Anwar Ibrahim where the staff are reading numerous books from different religions and philosophies.

Our Prime Minister praised the artist to encourage reading among Malaysians again. He further stated that works like these should be studied by the youth of today in order to fight ignorance and to encourage critical thinking.
Netizens agreed with our Prime Minister’s statement as they too feel that reading is important for the younger generation. A netizen stated that those who do not learn from history would be doomed to repeat it again.
