Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has hinted at several major government announcements in the coming weeks, with key announcements expected around National Day, Malaysia Day and the tabling of Budget 2027.

Major announcements to focus on youth, gig workers and economic support – Anwar
Anwar made the remarks during the Temu Anwar session in Klang, where a student asked about efforts to strengthen the welfare and financial security of young people in the gig economy.
He said the government is establishing the Malaysian Gig Economy Commission and preparing new legislation to strengthen protections for gig workers.
The Prime Minister also said the government is reviewing financing requirements for graduates seeking to start businesses, including through TEKUN.
He suggested that requiring applicants to have an existing business track record may need to be reconsidered as employment and economic conditions change.
