Bursa Malaysia Opens Lower Amid Trump-Musk Spat and Wall Street Losses

Bursa Malaysia opened lower today, following Wall Street’s losses and amid tensions between US President Donald Trump and Elon Musk. At 9.10 am, the FBM KLCI dropped 2.78 points to 1,515.34, with market breadth negative as decliners outnumbered gainers 207 to 84.

Investors are watching for developments following a positive call between Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping. Despite recent strong buying by local institutions, most heavyweights posted losses. 

The market is expected to trade within the 1,515–1,530 range. Meanwhile, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng gained as China’s May PMI beat expectations, calming slowdown concerns.
