Malaysia Advancement Party (MAP) chairman P. Waytha Moorthy has written to opposition leader Hamzah Zainudin, urging Perikatan Nasional (PN) to support the establishment of a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on racial and religious harmony.

Waytha praised PN’s “new national consensus” vision but questioned its sincerity and lack of clear mechanisms. He highlighted historical exclusivist rhetoric from PN allies like PAS, which contradicts the proposed inclusive approach.
Stressing that unity requires bold action, not silence, Waytha called for PN to back MAP and Hindraf’s push for the RCI as a necessary step toward truth, peace, and national reform.
