Passengers on Malaysia Airlines, Firefly, and MASwings will no longer have to switch off their electronic devices (Phones and Pads) during take-off and landing. This is the new ruling after MAG airlines were given regulatory approval by CAAM to enable gate-to-gate connectivity.

The airline will now offer free Wi-Fi from July 1st. You just have to put your devices on ‘flight mode’. Though it sounds new, many passengers were already switching their mobiles to flight mode well before this.
Do Not Switch Off
“As part of our connectivity strategy, we will be actively expanding the number of our aircraft equipped with Wi-Fi to provide an improved in-flight experience to our valued customers,” says MAG chief executive officer of airlines Ahmad Luqman Mohd Azmi. Bernama reported.
