Filipino Man Caught Using Fake Immigration Stamps at KKIA

A 21-year-old Filipino man was arrested at Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) for attempting to exit Sabah using a social visit pass with forged immigration endorsements. The Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS) detected falsified entry and exit stamps dated July 28 and July 30, which did not match immigration records.

Two boarding passes—one to Kuala Lumpur and another to Manila—were also found on him, raising suspicions of a wider immigration evasion attempt. The suspect has been referred to Kota Kinabalu Immigration for investigation under Section 56(1)(l) of the Immigration Act. Authorities reaffirmed their vigilance against document fraud.
