Hydroshoppe Sdn Bhd and its subsidiary Menara KL Sdn Bhd (MKLSB) have filed a lawsuit against the Malaysian government and others, seeking over RM1 billion in damages. The dispute stems from the alleged wrongful termination of their 2022 agreement to operate Kuala Lumpur Tower, which extended their concession from 15 to 30 years. In May 2023, the government awarded the contract to LSH Service Master Sdn Bhd instead. Hydroshoppe and MKLSB claim breach of trust and inducement, demanding the original deal be upheld. Lim Seong Hai Capital Berhad, linked to LSH, insists their appointment was legitimate and plans a robust defense.
