A Hong Kong resident, Mike, survived a terrifying bungee jumping incident in Pattaya, Thailand, where the cord broke mid-way during the jump.
According to HK01, Mike leapt from 30 meters (about 10 storeys), but the bungee cord failed to bounce him back up. Instead, it suddenly snapped when he was about 5 meters from the water surface, and he fell awkwardly without any warning into the water below.

His friend, who was also bungee jumping that day, recorded footage of the incident. Fortunately, Mike was rescued by the bungee jump staff and sent to the hospital.
