JAKARTA – Jakarta police have reported that seven male teenagers found dead in the Bekasi River on September 22 likely drowned while attempting to evade arrest. According to Inspector-General Karyoto, the Jakarta police chief, the teens were reportedly planning a brawl when they spotted patrolling officers and jumped into the river in fear. This sudden death of the teenagers has caused major upset in their community, some news sites report.
