JOHOR Darul Ta’zim (JDT) bowed out of the ASEAN Club Championship (ACC) despite a 2‑1 victory over Buriram United in the second semi‑final leg. The Southern Tigers lost 3‑4 on aggregate after conceding in extra time. Goals from Bergson Da Silva and Marcos Guilherme had given JDT hope of a dream final against Selangor FC, but Kingsley Schindler struck for Buriram.

Head coach Xisco Munoz praised his players’ extraordinary effort and highlighted positives, including reaching the semi‑finals, winning the domestic league, and making history in the Elite Champions League. He vowed JDT will work harder next season.
